What is Nafs?

Urge of various things is Nafs. It motivates a person to do all the things that he likes. Nafs of a person is like that animal which is happy when it is saturated but if we kept it hungry then it`s greed increases day by day.

ADOLESCENCE-sensitive stage of life

At this stage, flood of desires is emerging in the heart of a person, he wants to do everything that provides him satisfaction.He is away from Allah. He is weaker to distinguish between right and wrong or may be he knows but he fails to practice it because nafs  dominates him. When a person starts following his desires then a time comes when he wants to get rid of it but he could not. Desires are like muddy areas, once you step in it then there is no way to get out of it but if Allah wants.When you fails to control your nafs then it starts controlling you and you will become helpless. A person is closest to Allah when he controls his desires for Him. For Shaitan, it is an easy job to distract a young person because youthfulness keeps him away from Allah. But if a person tries to control his desires only because he is afraid from Allah`s resentment then he is at high position in the His sight. Allah knows that he has the power, he has the authority to do everything but he still sacrifices his desires for Him, Allah feels proud on him in front of angels. 

Haram and Halal

Always remember that haram things seems to be attractive and easy but not all the glitters are gold. The journey is trouble free but it leads to a deep ditch. On the other hand Halal way is tough but it leads to a pleasing garden where you will forget all your hardships.After every trouble there is long lasting easiness. 

"Whoever makes his nafs pure , he will make the grade and those who fails to control his desires then he will surely in lose"
